I love this.
Miss Gard: Modern valkyrie, ready to chop off heads.
Toot-Toot: Cute and deadly,little feminine.
Lacuna: Do not understimate her size, this enchanting looking pixie can kick asses off half America's army in sleep.
Mouse: Has badass,protective and heartwarming look, with subtle hints of what he really is.
Waldo Butters: and Goofy Β beautiful drawing, even if I think you played it up too much.
But best of all, Mister: All others are worried and ready for fight and he is like @ Weakling, do not bother me and I will play nice and mercifully." Love how smile turned out.

Not crazy about Butters here. I don't think he is supposed to look like an idiot. Just like an ordinary guy in scrubs is what I picture. You know, a bit short, a bit overweight, with glasses, but like you could see in any hospital. Β
I do like Miss Gard here. But I don't picture her in bell bottoms. She wears a tailored, expensive suit. Look at some fashion blogs.Β
Toot Toot is easily my favorite character, followed closely by Mouse, and then Marcone. I picture him and Lacuna with longer, more graceful legs and arms. Sort of like a model but shrunk down to two feet tall.
But I suppose thats what happens when you read a book! You see everything your own way. Good job, and a fun idea.

I think Butters is actually pretty accurate. In Death Masks, he's described as having a "wild shock of hair" and the one-man polka outfit is integral to the plot in Dead Beat.

Mouse is my favorite character in this lineup, possibly tied with Gard. Mouse doesn't get many lines, but what he does get is a crowning moment of badass in itself.

LOL!!! I know. I was almost shocked that mouse was so sarcastic when he had speech! I guess now we know what his growling means! I think he actually gets plenty of "lines" they are usually just in dog speech of chuffing, or tail wagging or growling.

Great work as always! It helps that these are some of my favorite secondary characters--Butters and Toot because of their courage above and beyond the call of their abilities, and Gard and Mouse because they're completely badass and know how to work it. (And Mister, who might fall into either category--we're not sure yet!) I usually picture Mouse looking more like a Chow, but I think your design really brings across the whole "looks like a Chinese Foo dog statue" thing.

It's usually lavender, but Cold Days mentions that a bit of blue is creeping into it, since Toot and the Za Lord's Guard is aligned with Harry, who is aligned with Winter.

I thought it was great. The recent developments of the previous books have totally obliterated the status quo, the stakes are higher than ever, and the major plotlines that have been boiling over throughout the series are coming to a head, so the series feels fresh as it heads into uncharted waters. Also the last few twists were legitimately shocking, on par with Changes.Β
