Location

Silverview in Northern Ireland is situated at the foot of Glenariff, one of the Glens of Antrim, by a little coastal town named Waterfoot.
Silverview spans over many, many acres with a large majority of the land remaining private to the public. These private lands, including part of the beach and the castle ruins are opened to the public throughout the year during events and competitions held by the centre.

Barns //
Silverview EC has a total of 15 barns. 5 are Mare Barns and 5 are stallion barns, kept separately on the grounds to prevent any 'accidental breedings', each barn consists of 40 stalls, a feed room, a medical room, secure tack rooms wash stalls and tie up bays, a hayloft, a lounge for staff/guests and a trophy room. We also have a large guest barn for long-distance competitors which and also a Goat, Alpaca and Pig Barn for the other animals Silverview keeps. Lastly, there is a 20 stall Quarantine barn used rarely for overflow in competitions but more often for horses recently bought by the centre to be checked over and quarantined from the other horses to make sure they carry not infections with them.
Fields //
Silverview has a total of 54 fields or 'grass pastures' for horse grazing, each one catered with an automatic drinking trough and at least one shelter depending on the size and amount of horses the field is for. Most of these fields are used seasonally with some being sued all year round (particularly for retired horses.) Some of these fields are for the other animals such as Alpacas or goats and guests can sometimes have access to these facilities if needed/wanted during a competition.
Indoor Arenas //
Silverview, being based in a country with rather temperamental weather, makes great use of its 6 indoor arenas. There are three large 80 x 160 Foot arenas and 3 small 60 x 120 foot arenas also, which are primarily used for warm up arenas or for dressage.
Outdoor Arenas //
Alongside our 6 indoor arenas, Silverview also has 9 large outdoor arenas. 3 of these outdoors are 80 x 160 Foot arenas while the other 6 are 60 x 120 foot arenas, including a private one only for the use of the four stable owners.
Guest Facilities //
Silverview always wishes their guests to have the most enjoyable experience possible and therefore there are many facilities onsite for them to make use of when competing or staying onsite. There is a guest barn of 40 stalls that includes tie up bays, shower bays, secure tacks rooms and feeds rooms as well as a hayloft and a lounge area for guests/staff. Some private fields are also available for those who want their horses to graze. We have a large guest house with many private rooms available. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared on each floor. There is also a quiet picnic area for those particularly nice days.
Competition Facilities //
The competition yard at Silverview caters to many different disciplines and can host competitions of all kinds. There are 3 warmup arenas, 2 outdoor and 1 indoor as well as three main competition arenas, again 2 outdoor and 1 indoor. We also have a large 3 1/2 acre cross country arena, also called 'the playground'. This is used primarily in smaller competitions or training competitions and the hacking trails around the stables is used for more professional cross country courses. There is also a racetrack with both dirt and turf tracks. The last competition feature is Silverview's jousting field, which is one of the only ones in the country.
Staff Housing //
For the staff of Silverview, on site housing is provided. Their are four staff cottages for long-time and full time staff while there is a large staff house with multiple rooms and a shared kitchen facilities and a private garden and shared conservatory round back for the staff to spend breaks or days off. Staff in the house often travel home for holidays or spare rooms are for short term staff to use.
