Description
A land of ancient mysteries, aggressive colonists, savage native species, and pirates, this windswept archipelago of the Palladium Fantasy Roleplaying Game is a great setting for adventure on the high seas. This version of the map shows the unmarked natural geography plus ley lines (areas of focused supernatural power in the setting) I did a bit more with the ocean floor visualization on this version than I usually do with my maps, incorporating both a continental shelf, deep ocean waters, and a more chaotic transition level in between them.

Even though this is obviously just a portion of the map, it just shows how much detail and work can be put into smaller pieces of a larger world. The ocean floor and differences in depth and structure of it are what makes it really stand out. It does really give the map an adequate amount of depth ( pun intended). I do like your other, more fantasy style made maps, with less geographical detail and just big plain ecosystems like desert, forest, lake coutry etc. but this one has that added amount of realism. I do really hope you will continue with these or maybe work on some sci-fi planetary maps, to go all out with immagination, liquid methane seas, crystaline plains, copper sand deserts and such. I like the fantasy and understand the roleplaying angle of it but still I feel like sci-fi would be a good fit for your Works as well. When it comes to critique, this is a bit harder to do because on a technical level I can't really fault it for anything, it is crisp, the islands are very natural and believable in the way they are formed and set. Maybe if this is a shallower archipelago some nice turqoise lagoons and sandy shallows might have added some extra color and more "tropical" (It is hard to explain) look to it. I do like the three small lakes on the farther right island, very nice touch
Other than that I have nothing to say more about it, it just could have been more vibrant but with the amount of work and detail already put into this I guess it was already well thought through and detailed with Great care and effort
Take care and stay inspired.

Hey, thanks a lot! I agree, maps are great tools for visualizing and brainstorming. I got into cartography as I wrote a novel manuscript back in 2012, and I drew a lot of my inspiration from the geography. I'm glad this map resonates with you, and if you're keen, I invite you to take a look at some of the other pieces I've drawn up. You might especially like some of my astronomy-based maps and the map I made from an x-ray of a hand. Anyway, thanks again for the commend and have a great day!

Thank you very much! None of these probably would ever have happened without you asking me to make you that Kiridin map.
