Continuity: Star Wars Alternate Timeline.

In-Universe Information:

With the outbreak of the Imperial Civil War and the loss of important resource and industiral territories in the mid and outer rims, the Galactic Empire was forced to adapt from it's traditional position of overwhelming strength to fighting an enemy on-par with their capabilities in all fields. To this end, 13 months after the first major battle of the war at Druckenwell, young Galactic Emperor Cosinga Palpatine approved a motion from the Regency Council to reform the equipment and organizational structure of the Stormtrooper Corps.

New helmet designs were taken from old post-Clone-War think tanks, a much slimmer profile combined with improved communication and vision for the wearer, the addition of a more advanced Heads Up Display taken from Clone Commando equipment. The torso armoring was stripped down, unarmoring the midsection to allow for better lateral movement of the soldier, and the freed weight also allowed for the carriage of more pouches in which rations or equipment could be stored.

Kneepads were introduced, loaned from Scout Trooper armor, as well as the addition of a new Pauldron replacing the bulky old model used prior. The color-coding was changed for certain ranks too, with Corporals given black coloration, Sergeants given Blue. Colored paint was also applied to the shoulder armor.

As the war progressed on, initiatives lead by veteran Fett template clones (Most of whom were nearing the end of their lives and on extensive genetic or cybernetic programmes to keep active.) began to reintroduce the former pride and espirt-du-corps of the long-since defunct Grand Army of the Republic, and the colored rank markings gradually disappeared, replaced by pip markings for rank, while the individual soldier was free to customize their armor how they saw fit.

Out-of-Universe Information:

This one was very fun to work on, slimmed-down Stormtrooper uniforms, with inspiration taken from Scout and Commando troopers. I intend to build off this as a baseline, and it should be very fun to work on later down the road.
