Description
This is one of many character design/studies i did for 'a non-disclosed game company who is getting their ducks in a row." Most of the work was rough design sketches and studies to help the 3d modellers.I think wheeljack was one of my favorite designs. my boss pretty much wanted as much detail as possible on him while staying true to his original g1 design.

thank ya! with all the tf studies i did for this game company, they wanted the characters to have body shape similar to how they appeared in the cartoon, but at the same time they wanted me to try to keep most of the detail that the toys had (from stickers and paint apps and stuff like that mostly)

DUDE!! AWESOME!! If any "undisclosed videogame company" uses your designs to make a TF videogame, I'll be leaping over people like a Gazelle to get my hands on one lol.

*laugh* well, hopefully things continue with this project even though i'm not able to work on it anymore. i may eventually get around to coloring some of these. wheeljack will get colors first obviously since he was my fav design here. might be a little while though. >.<

Dude the more time you take w/ it the better. You're Transformers have always impressed me. Have you heard about the new Classics figures coming out? Sunstreaker & Prowl join the Autobot cause lol!

This is exactly what you said, about staying true to his original g1 design but with as much detail as possible. You have improved a lot on the design the cartoon gave him, in my opinion. He's perfect!
He has his racing number, sponsor logos, tires, and even wiper blades while in robot mode. The extra detail on his waist, wings, etc. is fabulous, and the windshield even looks nicely translucent. I love all of it! 
Really great looking Lancias at the top there, too. I do love that awesome race car. I hope the game gets made for public consumption one day, because if it does, I'd love to play with a Wheeljack that looks like that!

Fantastic detail on this. Must have taken you forever to find good references for his back and sides (hey now, you even got his numbers and letters in there!).

the detail take a bit of time. though for the most part everything else on him just kinda flowed by this point. i think he was about number 8 or 9 in the long string of character studies i did. i was starting to get into a groove. hehe.

It's what I've always called him, I couldn't say Wheeljack at first... so as a little kid I called him squeegee.... *shrugs*
