Description Luckily Holmes finds some sort of nice words for artists just moments after he voices how he thinks they have no life. xD He can recall two dozen cases in which it would have been invaluable to have an artist draw the crime scene and it should be standard procedure to take one along to all sorts of crime scenes.
I feel so much better now, Holmes. :sob:

Sherlock Holmes, Dr Watson (c) ACDoyle
This particular line comes from Bert Coules' genius inΒ  "The Shameful Betrayal of Emily Smith", part of the Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Series of BBC Radio 4.

Haha, brilliant! Β I can just imagine Watson's inner thoughts now...

"Drawn from life, or lack of it, eh, Holmes? Β I can sympathize with these artists. Β Holmes has criticized me for years because of my apparent 'gaudy romanticizing' of his cases in my writings, which apparently leave not a shard of "scientific genius" behind (as he puts it) once I'm done. Β I wish I had tougher skin..."

xD Hahaha.... good thoughts, Watson!

Unfortunately unlikely in the original moment. xD Those drawings are from a crime scene, drawn in all detail... and Holmes in fact says he knows of several dozen cases in which an artist at the crime scene would have been invaluable. He even thinks they should be part of standard procedure at crime scenes. xD

Oh, now I understand it. Β I wasn't at all familiar with the story but now that you explain it it makes perfect sense.

Oh, Holmes.

Hehe! I very much like your drawing of Watson in this xD

Thank you!
But I must decline the compliment on my hands... xD They are, from my point of view, rubbish. I tried using my own hand as reference for Holmes' pointing hand but it still turned out rather horrible. I just get away with it because ... I don't know... they;re at least no flippers. xD
