Description Something fun for you, Easter Bunnies XD.
And for the ones who can actually use it.

! Watch out with the cloth. It should be something that can stand boiling temperature and wouldn't give any extra color.
! Boil the eggs just as long as you like them to be boiled. My personal time in ~7 minutes.

EDIT: You can use brown eggs too, only will the results be less bright and less rich in different colours and textures. But still, the eggs will be noticably coloured.

PS. I'm not taking responsibility if someone burns their fingers or overcomes something else while following this tutorial.
PS 2. Inform your mothers or other mighty persons in the kitchen, before you start.

A DD! Oh man.. that's great! Thanks to ^znow-white for the feature!

My great grandmother taught me how to dye eggs this way and we still do it to this day. I am glad to see that others too enjoy the beauty of naturally colored eggs. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, I hope others will try it.

slight-obstruction In reply to Winehorse [2008-03-24 16:10:38 +0000 UTC]

no, there's a few kinds of chickens that lay green eggs. kind of a pale blue-green color. they're just the same as the other kinds.
green chickens would be interesting. and kind of scary. *imagines green chickens*
