Inspired by The Click Five’s song ‘Just the Girl.’ I was in the mood for Paulina fanart, mostly because it’s so few and far between. Honestly, I don’t think I’d have much of a problem with her if she just grew up a little. Actually, I find her funny in an inane, hopeless kind of way...
I do, however, have a problem with all the character bashing against her, just as I do if I see someone bashing Sam or Valerie or pretty much any other character on the show. The biggest problem I have with it against Paulina is that everyone assumes she’s a complete airhead. Considering that she’s the only character on the show to realize there’s a connection between Fenton and Phantom without knowing the truth, I’m thinking she’s a lot smarter then people give her credit for.

People may hate her, but I like her:< I do not love her because I must say she's a bitch, but a cool bitch lol XD I'm kinda fangirlish for Paulina X Sam, not as a pairing, but as best friends, although it will NEVER happen cause they hate eachother and are 2 really different girls. But hey, me and my bff are totally different too and we love eachother, so i love Paulina X Sam.

XD I think Paulina and Sam would have been interesting, as friends. Paulina's character was always a point of frustration with me in canon DP, since the writers didn't explore her as much as they should have. That's why I love to use her in fanfics and fanart, because she adds an interesting element.

Paulina and Sam's dislike for one another was about more then just Danny, though he played his role. Sam judged Paulina really quickly and thought little of her because it, and Paulina lashed out in a childish way, then everything went downhill from there. Pride, tempers, the fact that they have no common goals or interest and therefor can't understand the other's point of view... all of that contributes to their fight, I think.

but anyways, yeah, that song definitly fits her. I like, loved Paulina so much one time for some reason. No, not as in "love" but as in "wow, she's so cool!" Now, she's just ok to me. I also hate when other people say stuff about her. It makes no sense bashing a cartoon character.

You do have a point... the only reason I kinda don't like her is because she's mean to Danny so much (which is actually the same reason why I don't like Lois Lane... she's too mean to Clark xD ) if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have much of a problem with her

Seriously, I think there should be so many more Paulina fics than there are out there, because there's just so much you can do with her character! I mean, the fact that she's willing to do practically anything for Danny Phantom could make her a good ally, and a formidable force against the Red Hunter. She's a lot more valuable than people see...

Cute I like the poses you have her in. I agree I really dislike people bashing Sam, Paulina, or Valerie. Without them the show would be incomplete. Each character has an important part to play in it. So why bash them?

I just don't see the point in hating on a fictional character, period. Especially not with the intensity some people do. I mean really, I don't care for Paulina myself, but she has her moments in the show, and she's surprised me more than once in the course of writing my fanfics.
She is by no means at all an idiot or an airhead. Shallow, yes, but she represents that cheerleader gossipy "clique". She knows how to manipulate people to her own ends. In that regard, she could be very dangerous, and in terms of manipulating people and the public opinion, I bet she could wipe the floor with even Vlad on that score.

I whole-heartedly agree. Besides, she can't be an airhead, or at least completely stupid, because she seems to be the "cunning, lethal beauty" type. I think Paulina could be pretty darn dangerous if given the chance.
DP isn't very well known for the character development though, and considering Danny doesn't grow too much, I don't think they'll be working on Paulina a lot either. Hoping is the best thing I can do.

Danny's grown up ALOT.
Originally he just wanted to be part of the It crowd, didn't want to be abnormal, or have ghost powers, or any such thing. He REALLY didn't care about fighting Ghosts.
Now? He could care less about material possessions, and he WANTS to be the hero. He's grown up alot over the course of the show.

At first, yes. Up until "Pirate Radio" he was great. But then, he started to turn back into the dreaded "Season One" Danny.
In "Beauty Marked" he used his position to flirt it up with all the girls. In "Reailty Trip" he put off everyone so he could avoid ghost hunting over the summer, and in "Kindred Spirits" he started using and abusing his friends.
He grew up, yes, but the retrogressing back into territory he grew out of was painful. I actually winced throughout half of "Beauty Marked".

Pirate Radio had a lot of odd things in it though.
And from what we've seen in Season Three, which is little, it looks like Danny's back to his GOOD self again.

Myself, I just don't care. I can't stand gals like that, but it's not an open bashing of the people themselves, it's just I have a different value set.One must understand that it's not wrong to have different values.

Seriously, I'm thinking about forming an ANTI D/S club thing. I have nothing against the paring, and it is the most likely route the show will take, but frankly; it's boring, it's cliche, and the fans tend to be stupid.
