I apologize for this. :embarrassed: I've been repressing the urge to draw this for years, but Advertizing class was really, REALLY boring, so...

'coughs' anyways, I've been thinking for a long time now what it's be like if Danny and his friends were pokemon trainers. Because I'm a geek with nothing better to do with my time. In my defense, though, it really is an interesting thing to think about. I'll let you guys decide which region they should be in and what starters they should get. ^^

Sam(antha) Manson
Favored Types- Dark, Grass, Fighting

The daughter of the fabulously wealthy Pamela and Jeremy Manson, Sam comes from a long, loooooooong line of Pokemon Coordinators. Indeed, both of her parents are master coordinators who met while participating in contests, and fully expect Sam to follow in their footsteps, blithely ignoring the fact that Sam has never shown anything but open contempt for Contests.

Sam is a trainer through and through, relishing in the rush of a good battle and the way it helps her bond with her pokemon, and doesn't see how beauty has anything to do with the quality of a pokemon. She shuns cute pokemon in favor of the less popular ones such as grimer and tangela, which drives her parents nuts. After leaving home on her journey, Sam intends to become Champion, a goal she works day and night to achieve.

Tucker Foley
Favored Types- Electric, Steel, Normal

Though he's geeky and a little shallow, Tucker's still an incredibly loyal friend and a great trainer. The fact still remains though that he sucks terribly at battles. Tucker brushes his abysmal talent off by insisting that his good looks and charisma would be wasted on fighting, and that he's a lover, not a fighter. Besides, Contests are where all the hot chicks are, anyways.

Tucker has a bizarre but admirable talent when it comes to being a Coordinator, having a unique ability to draw out the inner beauty of even the strangest and most underestimated pokemon. His team is all insanely loyal to their trainer due to the fact that Tucker's an extremely doting trainer, and wouldn't dream of ever leaving the boy. Still, their opposing views on Contests vs Battles means that Sam and Tucker have gone to war more then once. Danny generally makes himself scarce when this happens, to avoid being drawn into the bickering.

Danny Fenton
Favored types- Ghost, Ice, Flying

Danny's a relatively quiet kid, nothing like his loud and boisterous parents or is cocky, competent older sister. Having a couple of crackpots who are constantly being laughed at by other pokemon researchers for their strange theory about a legendary pokemon they and their old friend Vlad Masters had encountered in their youth taught Danny to keep his head down at a young age, though he does open up for his good friends Sam and Tucker. Still, everything changes for him when he gets into a scrap with some Team Plasmius goons who break into his parents lab late one night and accidentally absorbs the strange energy his parents had been researching, firmly believing it had come from the legendary pokemon they were seeking. Much to Danny's surprise, the energy seemed to adapt itself to his body, giving him a number of incredible powers.

Like Sam, Danny has dreams of becoming a Pokemon Master, despite the fact that his parents are kind of hoping he'd follow in their footsteps and become a researcher or a Professor like Jazz. He doesn't exactly have much confidence in himself to make his dream come true, though he's more then willing to do whatever it takes to get there. He also feels responsible for stopping the mysterious and sinister Team Plasmius and their nefarious deeds, taking up the identity of The Phantom in order to do so. This doesn't seem to be enough, though, but perhaps talking to the reigon's reigning Champion might help. After all, Vlad Masters IS an old friend of his parents...
