Description
Keeping with the WW1 theme, here are a few sketches I did for for his upcoming 15mm WW1 tabletop gaming rules "Tommiez" .

From left to right, top to bottom
1) British Vickers MG firing from a shallow trench at Ovillers-La Boisselle, on the Somme, in July 1916. The gunners are wearing gas masks.
2) German sniper wearing an M.1916 "coal scuttle" helmet in a communication trench, during "Operation Michael", March, 1918.
3) Vickers 2-inch 'toffee apple' medium mortar, with attached periscope post, in action on the Somme.
4) ANZAC soldier peering through trench periscope, Gallipoli 1915.
5) British command dugout. The characters are meant to resemble the main characters of "Blackadder Goes Forth"
6&7) French soldiers in trenches on the east bank of the Meuse river during the initial artillery bombardment of the battle for Verdun, February, 1916.
