Only the first 2 Alien - Ripley films needed to be made. In #3 she kills herself to prevent any more Alien contamination.

From cell cultures, a new Ripley is grown, with downloaded memories from the old. The same person ? Hardly, esp. when other Ripleys, grown from her tissues, went awry and had to be destroyed.
