One of the relatively few "complete" humanoid races in the galaxy, Aquarians are nigh-indistinguishable to Terrans and other similar races except that they are amphibiously oriented. Not unlike the merfolk of Ancient Terran myth, Aquarians can function both in land and sea environments so long as their biological requirements are met. This is made possible by their transformative biology; on land Aquarians are able to move with a standard pair of legs, but when converting to sea, their legs and lower torsos will merge and shift into fish-like tails for aquatic mobility. This capability, as well as the general aesthetics of their society, have also drawn comparisons to the Ancient Terran mythological civilization of Atlantis. Naturally they can be found through much of the galaxy, especially on worlds with sizeable bodies of water.
