I thought I'd try a short MLP comic. Something so cute seems a natural for my art, so I figured it'd be fun. And it was.
Here, Fluttershy thinks her new friend "Harry" (Hairy, get it?) is adorably cute. And as a tarantula owner myself, I agree with her! XD However, not everyone shares our adoration of hairy things with lots of legs. I thought Rarity would be the one who would be most freaked out by a giant spider, no matter how cute. But of course, she still tries to stay polite.

I love arachnids.
I find them (most of them anyway) as cute as most people find puppies.

I recently got a tarantula, and they are truly adorable, and soft, and awesome, and great for when your best friend has a near phobic fear of spiders, and you don't tell him you have one... so, yeah, spiders are cool

Well, Fluttershy is taking care of snakes as well, so having a poisonous giant spider as one of her hug-able animals does not surprise me.
