Description
the Flightmare is practically already the perfect dragon for horror, as it mimics a few different types of ghost... more specifically the Will O Wisp, the Banshee, and the generic Wraith/Spectre/Spook. Like the Will O Wisp, this dragon has an alluring ghostly glow, and is presumably clever enough to lead others astray and then ditch them in the middle of nowhere as a means of defending its precious food: glowing micro-organisms. This dragon also has a terrifying banshee like scream, which can cause mayhem from a distance, especially if the dragon is only heard, and not seen. Finally, like the spook, spectre, or wraith, the Flightmare is at least confused for using its looks to freeze victims in fear, albeit in the Flightmares case, it's actually paralysing mist. Just have it not utilize its ghostly glow all the time, be stealthy enough in defending its food when its not outright attacking someone, and you practically have a brand new horror sub genre- the "Malevolent Ghost Mimic" sub genre.
