Description Somewhat old animation that for some reason wasn't posted on DA.

A video was used as reference for the key frames. Inbetweens and tail's secondary motion were "thought of manually" x)

Done in photoshop's very archaic time sequence panel. Extended photoshop versions (x.5) have way better timeline tools. If you guys are interested on photoshop's process, let me know and I'll write a tutorial later.

Thanks there

don't forget to use references. This scene used a slow-motion acrobatics video as reference for the key poses. It really helps solve foreshortening issues and movement arcs throughout the animation

Please do a goddamn tutorial, I hate animating is PS because it seems to take so long, and I hate animating in Flash because... vector.
Seriously, I'll make you an appreciation/thank you drawing if you do.

Haha, yes, I feel your pain x) vector animation just doesn't feel the same

Your art style looks like it would be pretty great in rastered animation. What's the inspiration behind the style?

Which Photoshop version are you using? The method I use works for photoshop CS5 Extended (5.5) onwards. I've been working on faster ways of using Photoshop's animation tools with the new release.

Sure, I can make a tutorial out of my findings I'll keep you posted on that.

Ha! Thanks, I don't really put much effort into directing my style in a specific appearance, like it's not based off anything. ย I just let it be what it is, and it changes from day to day. But I do have my influences.
ย

Though I have been putting more focus on composition and contrast, to get things to "pop".
I have PS CS6, so I doubt there's too much of a difference? I would also really like to learn how to use After Effects to do animation, but haven't had the time to learn or practice.
