B.A.D-verse Physical Law #37: Hand to hand combat? Nat'll kick your arse. Full stop, no questions.Wes and Nat engaged in some light sparring practise.
Been playing around with some slightly more dynamic poses rather than people just standing, running etc. This popped into my head last night/this morning and I was dying to get it down on paper. Unfortunately I had a uni presentation that I had to finish for today. So I got it drawn in the hour or so that I had free between arriving at uni and doing the presentation, inked it while waiting for the bus home and rendered it now.
Might also have had something to do with having the Naruto Main Theme running on repeat (I think, I've never actually seen Naruto). Well come on: not only does the track have tribal drums, but guitar wailing and is from an anime which is, as far as I can make out, about ninjas. How could it not be just slightly cool? Oh, and no lyrics either. Just the odd martial arts "HWUH!"

Not a bad pose very dynamic and filled with action and Yes Naruto is about Ninja clans, following one ninja (naruto) as he's hunted down for having the spirit of an ancient evil demon put inside of him! People either want to release it or kill him

I must admit I've heard mixed reports actually. Some people love it, others hate it. Though I must admit I can't help but wonder if the haters are part of the "it's popular so I don't like it" squad.

there is another reason for the hating of it, other than it's mainstreamyness what's obviously got it bad name BUT is linked in with it's mainstreamyness what is the fact that it's a teenage show so 16 onwards (i'd say 14 myself) BUT to get it past the ratings and aimed at kids they cut it down like dragonball Z whats acctual more adult than it is on the kids shows!

The amount of movement and action in this is quite amazing. I mean, it looks like someone either snapped a picture with one of those super-fast cameras, or like this is a scene from the Matrix, where the camera slows down and spins around them, and then BAM Wes is on the floor.

The perspective on the hat looks a little wonky, unless it's flying off like the sunglasses and getting knocked loose. In which case everything's fine. Other than that, all the rest of the perspective looks right on!
Nat's hair also totally adds to the fluiditiy and movement (ooooohhhh art terms). I mean, it looks like it would actually move that way if this picture were translated into a photograph! : D

Yeah, the cap was meant to be coming off, otherwise Wes would be getting a nice cap-brim shaped dent along the back of his skull... quite aside from the spinal trauma
Kinda realised it was a bit hard to tell after I inked it, should have been off to the side or something, but by then it was a touch late.
