He's watching something really really engaging on tv.Another tablet drawing, now featuring Shikamaru, the super lazy genius nin. I just started some random doodling and it turned into this picture. No references, I love it when that happens.
Once again no nice colours either. I've come to realise that my drawing skills aren't up to par with my colouring skills, and the reason why is because of the way I normally work; I probably spend an hour on a drawing, then something like 4 hours just to colour that drawing. :/ As a result sometimes I try to use my colouring to cover up mistakes made in the drawing. Not good.
Anyway, not having to slave away for hours at colours is quite a liberating feeling. Can get more new things drawn that way too. ^__^

He's my favorite Naruto charachter. 
Not many people seem to like him, but he's beutiful, smart, sexy, lazy
He's the best man in the world, atleast he'll say what's on his mind, rather than lying.
I love this style of coloring, it's brilliant, such a wonderfull, plain contrast takes well to the mood of the piece, and green.
Nice choice.
You draw really well with a tablet, also, and your lines flow so freely, it seems.

This is incredibly charming.. I love how the angle is a bit tilted, and how the shadow gives it it's lost gravity again. Shikamaru's expression is so adorable! It looks indeed like he's really concentrated on a tv-show. X3

This is a really good drawing, it looks just like Shikamaru. Being so accurate is uncommon for Naruto fanart, so that says a lot.
No references you say? Either your full of it, draw him a lot, or have to be freggin kidding me, that looks exactly like him.

It must be a very, very engaging TV show/documentary/movie that heβs watching if itβs getting any reaction at all from dear Shikamaru. Or maybe heβs just letting his face make expressions on its own while his thoughts wanderβat least, I do that sometimes. Nice work on the angle; I canβt do birdβs-eye-view to save my life, so I like the little things like that. Oh, and the detail of the chip bag labelβso cute and funny! I started giggling in the computer lab and dragged my Shikamaru-fan-friend over to look and giggle with me (she loves this picture too.) It made me glad I full-viewed. And really, the monochromatic look is nice; besides, wouldnβt slaving away over intricate coloring for a /Shikamaru/ picture be somewhat ironic?
