Even without knowing the story behind this picture, I can't let it go without a comment. I'm in awe of the level of detail and precision--in the background, clothes, hair, everything. I love the flowing folds of his robe, especially; they look like something straight out of the classical paintings of saints and angels. Absolutely beautiful!

I really like the sense of solid, realistic volumes here -- all your studies are going to good use. The clear reds, blues, and whites work together beautifully.

I think itΒ΄s just me, but is that Raidou Kuzunoha? The Sideburns kinda give him away. XD

Hey you, it's been a while. I'm glad to see you're still on it. I notice you've improved a lot, specially on clothes textures and folds. I really like this piece, specially the background.

Whoa, this is beautiful. The detail you placed into it really gives the picture life and feel; not to mention setting a powerful mood. The background really gives the picture more strength and loses absolutely no quality when compared to the focus of the picture.
My favourite part of the piece are the little beads on the soldier's hands, I like how there is individual detail to each of them; quite obviously no effort was spared for this picture. Absolutely stunning; if this doesn't make the front page, there is something wrong. I'd also very much like to read the story now...

That's a shame, but it just means the story is going to be very interesting when we can know about it. And it was my pleasure.
