Finally, some much needed sanity on the issue. Personally, I too just became a brony not too long ago and I got royally p*ssed at people (bronies and non-bronies alike) constantly assuming Rainbow Dash is a lesbian just because she's a tomboy and has a rainbow-colored mane. It's the same as shipping Lyra and Bon-Bon because they're next to each other a lot or Octavia and Vinyl Scratch because they're both involved with music. (If people want to ship two characters together, gay or not, at least have it make some sense. But that's another rant for another time.)
BTW, what you said isn't homophobic in the least (like some of the other comments think) but an opinion and a rational one at that. *brohoof*

I don't find your point homophobic, honestly you're free to think whatever you want, as for the bronies who like making her lesbian
I tend to prefer straight pairings like you, but sometimes I also like pairing for example AppleDash. But I don't TRULLY believe that any of the characters of the show is actually gay, and specially not Rainbow because of her rainbow mane or tomboyish attitude or whatever. Its all about tastes. I always liked lesbian pairings, but that doesn't mean I like every mare being lesbian. For example I like AppleDash, but I don't really like AppleTwi. And also, remember that those pairings are just fanon, and not as canon as Sparity, so I agree that Rainbow isn't actually lesbian, regardless to the fan ships, R34, etc

I don't ship ponies at all. I'm fine with canon pairings (I don't get the point of hating canon.) and neutral to Bon Bon x Lyra (OMG A TEENAGE GIRL NOT HATING A YURI PAIRING? GASP!), Soarin x Rainbow Dash and Rarity x Spike (AND TWO HET PAIRINGS! WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?!), but that's it.

I agree with you with this, but millions just don't care about her being straight. Many people just want Dash to be gay forever. I don't believe it because her mane matches her name, Dash because she is fast and I read My Little Dashie (made me cry :C ). She is a very awesome character because she likes adventure
