It seems like I've been drawing the things you've been wanting to, and you've been drawing the things I've been meaning to.
I definitely dig this. Love the lighting and the smokey swirly effects. Awesome job.
My one issue is the strand of hair that cuts across her neck. It kinda looks like it's the neckline of the costume.

I'm never sure if I under / over render my work, it's my downfall. I wish I could keep it subtle and calm.

I have a bunch of sketches here and there of the two because I've always wanted to do a full piece of them. They've got everything I love: Girl with long hair and a hot costume and lots and lots of drapery.
I also struggle with the amount of rendering I put into my stuff. "Over" always ends up winning. But I think you have a nice balance here, with the busy-ness of the effects contrasting with the simplicity of Dagger. I dig it.

Same, I was going to do a yin-yang thing but I wanted it to be more "pow" so I went with this one. They were in a few Runaways issues!
