I always did like Cloak and Dagger. Their origin story appealed to me in a way no other character's origin did. They weren't mutants, born with their powers; they didn't come into their powerrs for some great purpose, or pre-ordained destiny...they were just a couple of street kids who were victimized, and together they turned the tables on their captors, and others like them. They were reluctant heroes, but they found a calling; and, a purpose. The old C&D comic was, to me, some of the best storytelling Marvel ever did, because it was such a radical departure (at the time) from their other lines. Here were a couple of heroes who weren't fighting to save the world; they were fighting to make a difference.
If Hollywood can bring us a movie that recaptures that spirit, I say, BRING IT!!
