OMG I finally finished this guy!
He was originally supposed to be Pegasus from Hercules for the 'From Comical to Classical' contest run by The Digital Painter, but I ran out of time. So I altered him slightly to have the pattern of a Snow Goose. 
I think these are the best wings I've done yet! Not as sure about the BG, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to tell me, I may go back and change it...Edit* Details! [link]

MMMmm, the horse is gorgeous, but the wings make the piece and fit with his body. I really like the detail of the reflection in the water-ripples, too.

They are very dynamic in all three dimensions. It helps to have a model of some sort, or good photo-reference, at least that's what I like to use. Your pegasus' wings look just lovely.
