more views hereTamiya kit, 1/35 scale~
Same methods as my first work. ^^ The kit was older than me (*1978
The replacement cupola M1919 .30 Browning MG with the accompanying tripod and ammunition boxes came from Academy's US Machine Gun Set.
Markings depict tank 2, C company, 1st Battalion, 13th Armored Regiment of the 1st U.S. Armored Division in Tunisia, 1942. My first time working with decals so please forgive the silverings.
Thanks loads as usual to for the pics~~

Loves the detail!! especially the rust between the wheel and the lower hull.. what colour do you used for the rust?

x-CC-x In reply to Pkendarto [2006-10-23 11:40:06 +0000 UTC]
It's not rust tho
The lower hull was finished by jabbing a paintbrush dipped in orange pastel chalk dust to simulate North African conditions (i.e. sand, dust, dirt, etc)
Thanks much man~

God I love that thing! I love how it almost has this realistic feel to the model, like if you did a nice diarama or some photoshopping, a person might mistake it for the legit deal! I always have a hell of a time with normal models, probably why I stick to sci-fi myself, but still, awesome.

Excellent tank. You may be interested to watch these animations of the war of the worlds using models. Kinda based on the radio one and the 1953 movie. There are plenty of tank models and planes fighting the tripods. Pretty good for stop-motion animation ^__^

Thanks~ I've just started actually
There's still much to learn.
Hmm... I'm currently working on an M-151A1 'Mutt' from the Vietnam War ^^ What keeps me from workin into more recent subjects is that they have this camo scheme that's hard to paint.
Lol U said it. I've pretty much a lot of pending works too.
Hey while in Japan why not do a few models?~ p(^_^)q There are lots of model makers in Japan~
Ah~^^ It's just blue paper with the model I think

slight problem is I have so much else to do here I have trouble just doing what I'm already doing

I have this fear of screwing up the camo.. Waaaaa
Lol when u get back home u have to post up your models here!

aww, there, there - don't worry too much; I do one colour, then let the other one overlap it to give nice edges
we'll see about the models - also have a Chinook to do
but I guess I can get up the ones's I've done to start with (the good ones that is )

It's kinda challening, specially when you work mostly with spray paints....The paint diameter is constant and is difficult to adjust.
Yay~ Post it up whe ur done OK? ^_^

was going to go for the winter camo (I have enough planes in temperate)

Ah, np~ ^_^
Sis u know of those scale models na ginagawa ng ma architects/FA people? Prang mejo similar ito dun. Only hindi cya gusali, isa cyang tankeng pandigma.
Same principles - first assembly, bubuohin mo cya, then painting - you color the parts appropriately (*i.e. dapat kahoy cya so you color it na color wood, bakal = steel color, etc...) then adding the details. ^^ The objective is to make the thing as detailed and realistic depende sa "modeler", and to have fun. (*kaya nga naging hobby cya
)
Dito sa kit, hobby enamels, hobby spray paints chaka artist oils ang nagamit.
OK na?
Thankiesh~
