Description okie dokie folkies, this tutorial discusses how I prepare stencils for a 4 color CMYK halftone print. The method in this tutorial uses Photoshop, I'm sorry if you don't own that program, but it's the only one I know of (outside of Illustrator which is also Adobe software) that can do CMYK separation. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below with your concerns! (also beware when downloading, this is a HUGE file XD)

WOOT!  UberCoolioes!  Thank you!  I did manage to get the tutorial to work in PSP9.  PSP7 won't support halftones.  I didn't see if this is doable in PSP12.  Yeah I work in dinosaur graphic programs.

I think it should work nearly the same for older versions of ps since it's not using any special features or anything And I'm glad you like!

I tried in 9 first.  Took me a bit to find where everything was (not my primary graphics program) then tried it in 7.  It did give me a CMYK  screen breakdown which approximates the original once inverted (gotta test these puppies to make sure I'm in the ballpark).  PSP tends to split without the ability to input frequency or resolution, still, this has given me ideas and I passed it on to my kid who works in PS6.0.

That is a nifty trick and will come in handy.  Thanks again!

I'm glad you could finagle it to work I know how it is trying to figure stuff out with older versions of programs
