Your tutorials are fantastic! If I may ask, where did you get the heart for the bow?

Lovely work. :3

Thank you! I made my heart from resin
I recently made a Resin Casting tutorial and if you are interested in having a brooch commissioned, I do commission them! [link]

Wow, your tutorial is fantastic! I've seen people make cosplay gems from resin before, but never post tutorials, and I've always wanted to try it out!

I'll also be sure to promote your commissions; I'm in a large group of Sailor Moon cosplayers, and I'm sure that after this upcoming con some of them may want to check your stuff out!

Aww thank you!

I have an Etsy account that I will soon be posting the brooches on - though I recently just made a Store Envy account and have yet to figure out how it works lol

If you are speaking about Katsucon - I will be there too!
(And if it is indeed Katsucon you are speaking of) Friday Morning I will be Super Sailor Neptune but the rest of the weekend I will be Aladdin from Magi (but I did have to cast a gem for him so [if you are going to Katsu] and you happen to see me, you can check out my gem in person whether it be for Neptune or Aladdin!)

Alas, it is not Katsucon, but Tekkoshocon that we're going to; though I know some people that are going to Katsucon!

Well, good luck with your store and keep cosplaying! ((and being awesome ))

Request! Could you put your youtube channel link in your description or comment? I can't seem to type it properly, and I don't know if it's because of my ineptitude at deciphering the link name or what.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Strange - I had all of my links in the description when I first put it up... maybe they accidentally got removed when I was adding in the tumbnails and editing the descriptions as I put more of the instructions up XD

I re-put the links in there!

Fantastic! Thank you so much!

My sewing machine and I are about to get re-acquainted ... oh boy ... two years it took you, you said?

Yeah... I first used the Green Pepper skating pattern which has only one seam in the back and I just... I hated it and I tried to change it up and I couldn't get it to work, so I turned to Cupcake Cosplay's tutorial for how to make a fuku and it messed me up even more (their cosplays look great, I just can't stand how their fuku method looks on me personally) and after talking with this amazing Neptune cosplayer at a convention I co-hosted the Masquerade at, she told me what pattern she used and gave me a few pointers and I went from there to develop this tutorial that I specifically made for everyone out there making a Sailor Fuku.

The fuku's are literally the hardest thing I have ever worked on. They may look easy, but don't let that get to you - it actually is a very difficult costume to make so take your time with it and don't get frustrated.

If you need any help, PLEASE ASK! I went through the same thing!

Thanks a million for your encouragement! I think doing the pattern first with very cheap fabric is a great idea to get familiar with it. It'll take me a few months before I have time to get into it seriously though.

Looking forward to see your finished cosplay costume!

You're welcome! Just remember to cut the sides a little bigger on your actual fabric - I made my pattern a tad bit too small so my leotard doesn't slide on as nice as I wanted it to - I have to shimmy it on lol

I have a few pictures of it up, but they are not good quality. I will have a nice photoshoot of Neptune next month at Katsucon so - in a few month nice pictures will be up!

Hahah, I think I'll have to shimmy no matter what, but, yes, noted. Wider sides. Thanks again!

*following to get to see your pictures in February*

How the heck do you put this thing on? D: Just shimmy it up your legs?

Xelhestiel In reply to UzumakiRamen-chan [2012-10-10 13:20:46 +0000 UTC]

Yep! Just pull it right on like a normal leotard you would buy at a store! If you aren't going to use 4-way stretch material, then you will have to add a zipper or snaps somewhere, but for the Kwik Sew Pattern you're supposed to use 4-way stretch.
