To use the "shift technique" on the second panel for creating straight lines, you have to click on the place that you want as a starting point, then while holding the shift key, just click on the end point.

Amazing. How do you make a grid in sai?

At that time i made a square by eye, duplicated a bunch of times and then merged it, now i just have a custom grid paper texture i made.

Wow,
I still don't get how you got the second panel so accurate, even with the shift technique. You must have a good sense for perspectives, I think.

Can you tell me, if it is possible to create a circel with Sai?

Well at that time i guess it was pure luck that i got that right, since i knew nothing of perspective. BTW i recently found a program that has some kind of perspective ruler incorporated, its called FireAlpaca, its free and really helpful for perspective.

Now for a circle what i usually do is with a normal hard edge pen brush i just click in one place until i get a pure black circle, then i hold Ctrl and click on the layer the circle is(this selects all pixels in that layer), i then invert the selection and increase the selection size by on or two pixels(you can find this on the selection drop menu) then i invert the selection again and erase the inside of the circle, clear the selection and done, this leaves you with a perfect lined circle.

I hope this helps ^^

I think it works with all painting tools.
I used normal pencil to do the second sketch,
you click on one side, hold shift and click on the other side.

xenocracy In reply to carapau [2010-03-20 23:55:09 +0000 UTC]
