I really dig this but I don't think Gorshin when I see it. I think it's because Gorshin had slicked back hair that was more brown than black. But other than that I really like it.

WHOOOO! This looks neat! I like his confident expression and pose here!
He looks like a mix of cartoony Gorshin's Riddler and TAS Riddler. I like it!
Nice work, Sis!

I'm sooo surprised, my Gorshin Riddler seems to be so loved here
Not that the drawing looks bad - it looks really neat with this expression, but in my opinion, Gorshin looks too young here as in the show
THHHHX again sooo much, Sis!

I'm not surprised that your Gorshin Riddler is loved here. It's really splendid. <3
I think Gorshin was young when he played the Riddler, so he's not too young here. He looks good as he is.
You're welcome, Sis!

I'm soooo happy to hear, my Gorshin Riddler is really sooo much loved here
I haven't expect that actually
THHHHX sooo much again To me, Gorshin looked not too young anymore, when he played the Riddler ... O__o I thought, he was like around 30 years already there ...
Well, no matter Mainly that he looks good here and that so many like to see him as good as he is here

You should expect that when you're drawing such nice fanarts.
Welcomes!
I think 30 years is a quite young age. ;D Maybe you feel doubts because Gorshin has more brownish hair than black. But don't worry so much about it, your Gorshin Riddler is still loved.

Well, he looks more to me, like he's pushing 40 or so Actually, Gorshin's hair color looks more black to me, like Eddie in the older comics, then brown or red ...
But that's just me
So great to hear
Motivates for maybe more fanart of him

Makes me wanna check out his profile somewhere to really research about his age during his different roles.
Hmm... you know, this put me in doubt whether he's got black or (dark) brown hair. It's not easy to know exactly.
Nice! I look forward to see your future artworks!

I saw the request pic. I'll go comment it soon.
Just to be sure, I checked Google for pics for evidence/research. xD Here he has dark hair: [link] - and here we can finally see he has brownish hair: [link] (love his suit there ). Maybe it's just me, but doesn't he change his hair color now and then?
Oh well, if he can in the comics so why can't he in live-action series?
Anytime, Sis! Anytime!

THHHHX sooo much for the comment
I was soooo glad to read it
Yes, in the 2nd pic, Gorshin looks like I want to see Riddler the whole time in this suit He doesn't look bad in the other suit neither, but you know - I prefer more the jacket version <333
Yes, also Gorshin can change his hair for the Riddler chara
So why not? Maybe it looks extra like this, to show the similarity to the comics ...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Ghostbusterlover In reply to xero87 [2009-06-10 09:31:46 +0000 UTC]
No problem!
Ohhh yes. It's sad that he didn't wear the suit all the time. :´D I've read that Gorshin wanted to wear the suit in "Legends of the Superheroes" but didn't got to. I think it was because of the low show budget or something.
And I wish he wore that neat vest more than only in the 60s film.
Could be. ;3 Anyway, he was a great actor with a great Riddler role! (R.I.P. Frank Gorshin
)

xero87 In reply to Ghostbusterlover [2009-06-10 09:42:21 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I read something like this, too about the suit in "Legends of the Superheroes" ... sad, that the budget was so low
It would fit soooo cool on him And then this suit next to Wizzy
Also the vest X333 He should have wear it more often in the show
So true Gorshin left such a great mark on Riddler, that's why he became so most popular I think and also the following Riddler personas were so similar to him a little
R.I.P. Frank Gorshin - you will be missed

Which suddenly hits me that Eddie and Wizzy did co-operate ONCE - and that was in the show.
Definitely agreed.
Yep, Jim Carrey played a similar Riddler character role like Gorshin's, with the laugh and silly moments.

xero87 In reply to Ghostbusterlover [2009-06-10 20:29:20 +0000 UTC]
You're right! In this show, I think that was the only situation, where Eddie and Wizzy "met" each other
*Poor Eddie got frozen by Wizzy*
Yup Even if any scenes looked really weird there, but in a funny way
Carrey did also a good job as the Riddler

The blizzard scene was sooo funny!
"Haha! That oughta do it!" (Love that quote! xD)
Well, Jim Carrey has the habit to make weird scenes in most movies he appears in. That makes him unique.
Btw, speaking about "Batman Forever", I've found the original script of it and read some bits - some scenes there were so funny that it's a shame they weren't in the movie. D:

This scene was AWESOME
And the quote great!
*love Wizzy*
Yes, Jim Carrey is really great in making funny expressions
It fits Eddie somehow <33
I think, the 2nd fav role of Carry for me is to see him in "The Mask"
WHAT?!!! Sounds interesting about the script, you found
And my... why did the producers cut any funny scenes of Eddie then there?
*wanna see it*
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Ghostbusterlover In reply to xero87 [2009-06-12 18:26:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but my favorite role for Carrey was in "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" (like I mentioned before). AND "The Mask", yes.
Hopefully those scenes will be in the extra features of the DVD.
Here's the script: [link]
One of my favorites was that scene when Riddler & Two-Face were punching the guards (it was in the movie, but a bit changed).
Two-Face: "Close your fist. Reach back."
[Two-Face swings, clocks the guard on the chin. CRACK. Out like a light.]
Two-Face: "Get it?"
[Riddler nods tentatively. Manages a weak fist. Throws a
feeble punch. The Guard looks barely startled.]
Two-Face: "Riddler. You punch like a girl. Put some heart into it."
[Two-Face hauls off, hits the third Guard. Out he goes.]
Riddler: "Okay. Okay. I got it."
[He leans way back, tries again. Barely a glancing blow.]
Two-Face: "My god."
[He walks away, shaking his head, disgusted. The Riddler turns back to the guard. Ready for another try.]
Also, in the script where it says number 276 is a singing scene with the Riddler that I really wanted to see (but sadly wasn't in the movie).

Now this movie sounds new for me
I Googled for the German title, but even this title was strange to me
So I don't very know this -.- ... but sounds cool about any mysterious riddles (at least in the German title)
He was sooo funny as the Mask
THHHHX sooo much for the link I have to read it
The "punching the guards" scene was also one of my fav movie parts there
Eddie looked sooo weak and unteached then Two Face *ohhh*
Although this dialogue here reminds me of the scene from the movie, it's also new for me I wanna hear Eddie sing
Really sad, it wasn't in the movie there

I did mention it before when Jim Carrey had the role as Count Olaf. He was creepy (very creepy - I certainly don't want him as my uncle <_< ) but good acting. You can check IMDb for pics and reviews of it.
What's the German title? Oh, and the riddles are more like mysteries skilled for detectives. (Time to call PI Eddie ;D)
Yes, he was awesome as the greeny, crazy man in yellow tuxedo. Just like Joker in the comic "Joker Mask" (which I have btw).
No problem!
One proof that Eddie isn't skilled in combat. *poor, weak guy*
I also found another scene, which probably wasn't in the movie so far I remember, but was in the comic adaptation of "Batman Forever". But I had nooo idea what they meant. (Still the convo sounded funny.
)
Two-Face: "Oh my God. Jim Morrison was right."
Riddler: "About what?"
Two-Face: "Everything."
Both (simultaneous): "...Yeah."
*Who is Jim Morrison?? *

I saw him as this old guy in some reviews, but never could imagine, how creepy he was O__o
Well, here's the German title, I googled: Lemony Snicket - Rätselhafte Ereignisse (poor kids there
)
Time for a crossover, I think
Bring Eddie there to solve all the riddles
You have it?" I searched for it sooo long (Internet AND in stores) but couldn't find it anywhere
It should be a funny and interesting crossover, as far as I heard and saw any pics
Yes, poor poor Eddie But therefore, his best skill is a brillaint mind
I think you only get the dialogue joke here, when you know who Jim Morrison is
I've heard of him, but nothing else
THHHHX sooo much again for telling and the link

He was a horrible uncle who only wanted the orphan children's fortune. o_O
Oh, and what does the title mean in English? (I guess "rätsel" is "riddle"?)
Hahaha! What a nice idea! It would be a good fanfic crossover.
(I've actually started writing a crossover involving "Jumanji".
)
Yes, it wasn't easy to find it and get it. I can show it to you. ;3
Ohhh yes. A real genius.
Gah! I'd better Google for that Morrison-guy.
In the script, scene number 318 at the party you can find a funny dialogue with Bruce and Eddie there. (I don't remember if it was in the movie.
)
Edward (to Chase): "No grape could be more intoxicating than you, my dear. But we make due. To your charms."
[Clinking her glass of champagne.]
"Skol."
Bruce (raising his): "Nostrovia."
Edward (pausing): "La'chiem."
Bruce (casual): "Slanta."
Edward: "Rinka."
Bruce: "Banzai."
Chase: "I'm drinking."
[And she does.]
*Lol* Bruce is such a jealous show-off.
(I gotta stop quoting from movies. )

Oh my O__o Sounds like my evil uncles anyhow .... They would fit almost perfectly in this scene here ...
Yes, you're right
"Rätsel" = "riddle" And the meaning is actually "Mysterious occurrences"
Eddie would be really well in this case as a crossover
(Is Jumanji the creepy uncle here ) *sorry, I'm sooo lame
*
If you like, you can send it to my mail
THHHX sooo much in advance, Sis!

I think this situation wasn't in the movie ...

You know, I was thinking the same. o__o
Whoo! At least I remember some German words! Cool German title, it's similar to the original.
True. (Oh, Jumanji is a magical board game from the 1995 with the same title, "Jumanji".
Robin Williams is in the roles there. The movie is great and the board game has some rhyming riddles. I've seen the movie about three times, so I recommend it.
)
I will! ^^ No problem!
Then I hope that scene is in Deleted Scenes sections of the DVD.
*lol, right* ;D
(Hahaha! Glad you think so! But I think I've mentioned every fav scene from the script, so now you can read it on.
)

Telepathy again
Now you know riddle in German, and it could be easy to remember on it, because you have Eddie as a good example to it
(BTW - in TAS German dub, Riddler is called "Rätselkönig", what means riddle king) Sounds sooo interesting about Jumanji
And for some reason, as you descript it here, it reminds me a little of "Virtual Reality" from TAS
Nice new riddles for Eddie there, I think
I just have recorded the movie from TV once The only "original" movies of Badman, I have are "Batman and Robin" and "TDK"
The rest is all from TV ...
But it would be very interesting to know, if there would be something like a uncut chapter or so of "Batman Forever" on the DVD
I def will THHHHX for the link again and the little introduction
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Ghostbusterlover In reply to xero87 [2009-06-13 13:13:20 +0000 UTC]
Yay!
Of course. ;D And I already knew Riddler's German name - it's one of the foreign names I have collected for my Riddler document. I really like his German name. <3 He's a real King of Riddles!
Yeah, it reminds me of that eppy. But it's jungle powers are happening irl as the players are playing the game.
Jumanji's riddles are too easy for Eddie. Even I could solve them.
Kinda same for my big sister, who's only got the recent ones plus "Batman Forever" on DVD. I don't have any of them except BtAS vol 2.
I have to check them in my sister's DVD, otherwise they're featured in the special double-DVD of the movie... or not featured at all.
Have fun! Welcomes!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
xero87 In reply to Ghostbusterlover [2009-06-13 15:43:42 +0000 UTC]
I'm glad to hear, you like his "special" German name instead of Riddler
In TAS, the name fits well with Eddie's persona, only in the 60s show, he was called "Rätselknacker", means someone, who solve all riddles there ...
Would fit better for Batman maybe ... *cause this darn guy always solves Eddie's clever puzzles*
Weeell, mabye also Eddie needs a little "relaxing" time with easy riddles
I think a good riddle for him would be the Einstein riddle At my job, we all tried to solve this riddle, but there are sooo many "right" solutions, so there can't be really one right ... but it should ...
Pretty tricky So maybe you'll get the rest of the Badman series one day all together
I think, except for "The Batman" series and the 60s show, I've got every Batman movie Well, and "The Brave and the Bold" isn't here on air at Germany yet ...
It would be really sad, if there wouldn't be any features ...
I def will THHHHX again
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Ghostbusterlover In reply to xero87 [2009-06-13 17:43:21 +0000 UTC]
I like many of his different names; Enigma (Spanish & Portugese), L'Enigmista (Italian), L'Homme-Mystère (French, meaning "Mystery man"), Gåtmästaren (Swedish), Ridorā (Japanese)... There are more, but these are my faves along with the German Rätselkönig. ^^
I've read about "Rätselknacker" too. It kinda fits Eddie, but still not. He's more likely giving riddles instead of solving them... so Badman is the real annoying "rätselknacker".
Yeah, if not too boring.
Einstein riddle? o.o Never heard... how does it go? Sounds interesting.
Well, I'm not so into the Batman fandom - I only want those featuring my fave villains. At least I'll try to watch all eps of TAS and BatB.
I've already seen the 60s live-action show with the Riddler episodes plus the 60s movie so it's enough for me.
I hope "The Brave and the Bold" will be broadcasted in Germany soon.
There are lots of features in the DVD, but maybe not the specific deleted scenes we wanted to see.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
xero87 In reply to Ghostbusterlover [2009-06-13 19:35:16 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I've read on Google of the many different names of Riddler Interesting to see and to know
So far, all the names, you mentioned here, I like, too
Yes, Batman you real Rätselknacker
Always drives Eddie crazy, when he solves his riddles
Well, as far as I can remember, it would be really long to explain, it's about 5 nationalities with differents colors, houses, pets etc... I'll tell you in a note -> BTW how still many notes until we have reached 300?
Same here, actually Well, maybe it's nice to see Robin and Nightwing there sometimes
But mostly I like to see my fav villains
*you know, who villains I mean
*
A propos "The Brave and the Bold" - You know WHAT?! I finally found a short clip, where Eddie appears in -> [link]
Enjoy it
I really hope so, too that this show will come soon in Germany, too Sad to hear about the featured deleted scences ...
It would be really great to see

Glad you think the same!
Yeah, Badman is making it too easy to solve Eddie's riddles and puzzles. But hey, in the comic "Batman Adventures" #11, Eddie enjoyed that Badman was solving his riddles. He kinda forced Badman to do that.
That story "Pokerface" is one of my faves.
Oh, okay. How many Notes left? Just one. ;D
Yep, already know. Sadly (for me), my three fave villains are so rare in both eppies and movies.
(Speaking about that, I still haven't checked how Shade acts in the JL TAS eps.
)
HOLY RIDDLES! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LINK!!
One or two weeks ago, ViridianSoul told me that Eddie appeared in an ep of BatB and said which style of him it was... but I couldn't find the eppy. Thank you again!
Bat-Mite is a new character for me, I've only heard a little about him... meh, I don't like him anyway. xD But that scene was LOL! Especially when they chased after him. I think it was such an odd animating somehow.
But I liked it.
We'll see if they're included or not.
