Description
Here it is, like I promised! My first tutorial. (I don't count the graphite pencil portrait one cause it's not good and it's not even finished. I'll scrap it -_-)Anyway, this tutorial shows how I drew this: [link]
The stock image used as a reference: [link] by ~akai-hinoiri
It's just the way I did it, it doesn't mean it's the best way but a lot of people were interested in seeing a tutorial about it so I decided to make it.
This is also a contest entry for #Traditional-Artists 's tutorial contest
I just hope I didn't write too much, but there are also a lot of pictures. Sorry if some of them aren't the best quality, I couldn't scan the drawing all the time. My scanner is A4 and the drawing is around A3 so it would take a lot of time to stitch the parts together all the time.
At first I thought about making the background of the tutorial white with some bubble brushes in the background but then I figured using the dA color scheme would suit it better
I hope you'll find it useful and please ask if you have any question!
P.S. The title wouldn't fit otherwise so I had to type it without spaces.
Edit: My tutorial has been translated to Russian. You can check it out here: [link] You need to register to be able to see it, but if you are Russian you should really do it, it's a great forum with lots of helpful stuff.
Edit 2: The translation to Russian can also be found here: [link] And you don't need a registration for this one.

I see^^ Well, the "Artists"-pencils by Derwent is no good. They're really hard, and they don't give of much color. But I also have got some pastel-pencils and some just called "drawing"-pencils by Derwent, which is pretty good. I would have liked to use only the Drawing pencils, but they only come in nature-colors. I mean, like brownish colors. They're not in pink or very bright blue or red and such. Oh, and the watercolor pencils by Derwent are really good. My friend use them.
Oh, that's weird. I see Canson paper everywhere in the shops here, and the shops in my town/city hasn't got much special art supplies. Just the most common stuff. I have never seen any Koh-I-Noor stuff in these shops though.

Yeah.. -.- Well, actually it's not that srtange, since there really are not many different art supplies brands to be bought here. Maybe Koh-I-Noor is to be found in Oslo(the capital or norway) it's not too far from here, but I don't go there often.. seems like I will have to go there sometime soon to get all this stuff.. ^^ (it's more than just the pencils)

I have the same problem. I always have to go to Belgrade(capital of Serbia) to get some art supplies. Luckily, it's only an hour ride. Here in my town I only found one art store and it's half-empty so a few days ago I looked for some acrylic set and they had to order it from Belgrade cause they only sell single tubes and don't even have all of the colors -_- At least I didn't have to go to Belgrade myself.

It should be at least one good art store in every city. I mean, there's lots of sports and cloth shops, but like only one art store, and it suck. -_- There were a pretty good art shop here some years ago, but it only lasted for 2 years or so.

Yeah, same goes for me, I have only 24 ordinary ones, the biggest set I could find -_-
By the way, I thought I was buying the ordinary ones when I bought the aquarelle, I didn't notice until I came home XD
Koh-I-Noor is a good brand though.

I guess this is what you've been working on Photoshop lately, good job with the tutorial.
Yes scanners are really annoying I'm also editing the pics after the scan in Photoshop to adjust the colors and to clean the drawing, can't be helped >w<
