Drawn from: [link]This picture was done in pastels (my first time drawing with them really) on gray paper.
I spent around 12 hours total on it I believe. Anywhere from 1 to 3 hours on the pencil drawing and around 9 hours or so on the pastels.
It was so fun. Every step of the way, I never wanted to stop. I loved being covered in the dust from the pastels, I loved blending them, and I also love how easy it is to correct mistakes with them.
I love this picture, I truly do. I don't know how well the digital camera did as far as showing off this piece of art. @.@ But I can be sure to tell you that nothing will give the effect that seeing it in real life gives.

lolAnyway, this was drawn from a screenshot taken on World of Warcraft in the entry way of the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.
God, I love this place. I mean seriously, it makes me wonder why I didn't start playing WoW long ago. D: (though I wouldn't have been able to play on previous computers though x: )
The actual boss fights in this place are so fun, the music is good, and to wrap it all up the story is great.

I look at this pic and think 'Why can't the artwork in WoW look more like that?' I personally don't care for the art styling in WoW much, but this is wonderful. The pastels give it a storybook feel which is really attractive IMO. Keep it up, Dani!

Dani, this came out great! Wow, pastels, I've used them in the past but was never really good at them, especially when it came to actual shading/highlights and blending in general. I really like the sky for some reason. The darker blue fading into light in the lower right hand corner makes it seem that the sun hasn't completely set 'quite' yet, and really adds to the whole scene. Your hard work shows!
