Description
3d modeling of a very tall building in Wings3d, more than 110 floors!Wings got slow and shaky when I tried to make this in a single object, therefore I have splitted it in three parts.

It's a great work, you are an excellent Wings3D modeler !
It has an excellent ancient style skyscraper !

Still not. It's not finished yet.
Thank you for the comment!

Elegant building, just fantastic! How long did it take to create it?
How many "weighs" (in polygons, triangles) this model in Bryce?

Thanks for the comment!
The model has almost 500 000 polygons,
Bryce can effortless handle this amount of polygons but it's too large for Wings3d.

Looks pretty cool!
As a Blender user, with that much repeating patterns on an object I'd use a lot of instancing/duplication which significantly lowers the necessary resources and speeds up the modeling process. I don't know if Wings3d has such mechanisms though...

That might be possible but Wings3d has no instances and most important,
if there were instancing it would be hardly possible to export the model.
Is this possible in Blender?
If it is, I guess the instances get tranformed into regular polygons.

You're right about that - if you want to export into a transfer format all parametric stuff has to be applied so the final model is a pure mesh.
Still - the modeling with (array-)modifiers and instances speeds up the process a lot and keeps things as lightweight as possible. Also, you can keep the parametric model and export a duplicate as final mesh, that way it's very easy to come back later and make modifications that affect the whole thing without having to apply it everywhere over and over again.
And even with the final mesh Blender should be pretty fast.
Would be interesting to test it with a model like yours, but I think unless you are on a machine with very limited resources, there should be no performance issues.

Another nice work.
"Wings got slow and shaky when I tried to make this in a single object"
You must have limited the number of floors just because of Wings3d instability, isn't it?
Yeah, depending on your PC setup that can happy easy. I rarely have problems at home with my i7 8GB, but at work in a i5 4GB...
If you are in 32bits version this hi-poly stuff uses to be impossible due to minimal memory available.

Again This looks amazing Simone, you surely know your way around Wings3D..
Another first class piece of modeling and I wont count the floors I will take your word on it

Thank you so much.
It's not difficult to make such a building if you have invented an algorithm.
I have just imagined how it would be to clean all of this windows.
I think that 's about 7000.
I have 10 windows and I need almost a whole day.
It's urgently necessary to clean them!
