Vielen Dank!

Everything was right!
As you stacked logs? With duplication in Wings 3D?

Thank you Alexey!
The logs were made in SketchUp. SketchUp modeling is completely different, you do kind of draw the 3d model.
I duplicate and rotate the whole wall and put them together in a kind of booleans.
I made the model mainly in SketchUp and did just refine in Wings3d, and have still to do.

Thank you, I understand. In the Wings 3D lacks some of the tools that are in Bryce, such as multi-replication.

Multi replication is easily possible in Object mode.

I have not found such a command in Wings 3D.

xmas-kitty In reply to slepalex [2015-03-16 17:15:45 +0000 UTC]
There are 4 modes available in the middle of top: Vertices, Edges, Faces and Objects.
Choose Object Mode, select an object, right click --> duplicate --> select direction.
Now you can replicate all the selected objects using ctrl+d as often as you want but only in the previous selected direction.
Changing the direction of replicated objects; right click --> duplicate --> select direction.
Another interesting command is mirror in Face Mode.
Select a single polygon of your object; right click --> mirror. This will mirror the whole object on this polygon.

Unfortunately, nothing happened. I can only once use the command "duplicate". I can not set the number of copies and the distance over which they have to move.
In general, it is necessary to find a tutorial on this subject.
About mirroring I know. This is also a single command.

Some of the features you know from Bryce are not implemented. But there are others and much more modeling features than in Bryce. There is no reason why not work with different programs to utilize the strengths of each. It's my workflow since many years. With Poser you can make good cloth simulations for example, Bryce has the features for boolean operations, SketchUp is good to create clean architecture, in Wings3d you have a lot of different features, and in UVMapper you can easily create uv maps, much easier than in Wings3d. It's effortlessly possible to move a model between the programs using *obj files.

Looked at your model again. It's worth more than a "nice". I'm upgrading my comment to "impressive".

Thanks again!
Unfortunately I cannot find the time currently to finish it.
There is still a lot to do on this 3d model.
I hope it will not end the way like my 'forever' unfinished Locomotive

Looks really wonderful with a stunning high level of detail! Do SketchUp / Wings3D have a bevel option? All egdes do look very sharp and beveling them will give your work a more realistic touch.

Thank you very much for the comment!
It's possible but beveling of all edges will increase the amount of polygons a lot.
I'm always trying to make my models not too much high-res; as much as necessary as less as possible.
I want to share them and not everybody has an high end system.
At least I will bevel and improve the ends of the logs.
Oh!

I think this would be cool model to use in a scene if you share it when u r finished
