If you look at the front of the tree closest to the water it looks like a human figure is emerging from the tree... like it is part of it... trying to reach the water.. but cannot because of what it truly is... it is trapped and not able to move freely.... I love the idea behind this

i like the image, however the way you tinted it kind of makes teh whole thing a bit dark (in my opinion). perhaps if you went black to the original b/w and then "colorized" the pic using a hue/sat. adjustment keeping the "perserve luminosity" box checked. your whites would stay bright.
still, well done.

I love the way the wood resembles a person. You can even see fingers on the hand.
