This Tutorial shows newbies how they can do Saucer-Platings (StarTrek Ships) using Mesh Edit.It works for every MAX version from 2.0 upwards (at least).
The technique described can be used on any surface, it is not at all limited to TrekShips.
Try it out and you will see how easy and quick you can add loads of detail to your objects.

If you have Max 4 you can almost try using the Greeble plug-in.

The images in the tutorial point to files on the author's harddrive, not to the images supplied in the zip.
