Description
AKA: The basic one.
Jerakeen is sort of a practice run for the other elephants, which I've gone ahead and modeled after the African species for lack of specifics in the books. The trunk and tail are in neutral positions; the legs are just boring old columns, and the ears are laid back against the body. I think Berilla is next.
I'm not particularly enjoying these elephants, but texturing the skin is fun, and I do like working with tagua nut (the faux-ivory used for the tusks). The anatomy is unfamiliar to me though; hopefully I can improve the eyes on these next few, because ick.
Anyway; I'm super behind my own timeline, but I'm still determined to finish this bookstand by summer holis. So I've got about a month and a half. And I haven't even finished the sculpture, let alone the furniture. Ohjeezohman.
