I actually made a fanfic about what happened to him after he fell off the cliff. (Yes, I saw that episode so don't worry about spoiling it. It's ok.)
It talkes about how he survived and what happend to him afterwards. I think you'll be surprised what happens to him.

He doesn't say anything, he just does the snarling thing, kickes Jun out of the falcon, and when Carter tries to kill him he blockes the punch, punches him in the stomach and throws him out of the falcon. Then he jumps onto the cockpit, punches through the glass and throws the pilot out. Then he gets into the cockpit by climing through the hole he made in the glass and sets his course for valhala to get suplies and then goes to freelancer HQ to get his AI from the evedence locker. I should wright a story.

I too made a FanFic about the Meta. It talks about how he survived his fall after the events of episode 20 of Revelation. Not only does he survive his fall, but an old friend helps him to get more powerful than ever.
Just go to FanFiction.net and find the story called "Red vs Blue Ressurection" by l Pvt Caboose l.
It should be among the several Halo FanFics. (I should just go ahead and post it on this website as well. LOL)
Anyway, if you want you can check it out and hopefully it will inspire you for your own story.
