Calling you at past midnight,
Just as you asked, to let you know I’m alright.
Wide awake and happy, you answer the phone,
Giggles in the background, but you say you’re all alone.

Listening to the radio, when you dedicate a song,
But no it’s not for me, I know something’s gone wrong.
I see you with another girl, walking in ‘our’ park,
I watch you laugh and kiss, and suddenly everything goes dark.

Lying on the icy path, blood pouring from my head,
Not being able to feel my legs, wondering if I’m dead.
People running closer, as the sirens become near,
Knowing I can’t say goodbye, to those that are so dear.

My heart is hurting so much, but I don’t seem able to cry,
People rushing round me as I will myself to die.
Flash backs of the times we had, grip and tear my brain,
Now, even if I do survive, I have nothing left to gain.
