I’ve been in the Lost and Found
For as long as I can remember,
Flickering in desperation to
Keep alight this dying ember.

Watching you walk past my window,
Everyday since July,
Hoping and praying you’ll venture in,
When you don’t-asking ‘why?’

Peering out in sadness,
Hoping to see your face.
This Lost and Found is grey and white,
You can brighten up the place.

Wishing you’d come back for me,
Hoping you’ll notice I’m gone.
Holding me close and carrying me home,
So our love can linger on.
