Description
One day walking home from school,I walked the back way, what a fool.
Two men were arguing in the alley,
It was there I saw my cousin Sally.
Her hands were strapped up her body still,
I stared at her, so vulnerable and ill.
I started to run, as fast as I could,
But my body was pulled back by my hood.
Gasping, I struggled to get away,
The grip was so strong, there was no way.
I was dragged back to the alley.
Back to my cousin Sally.
Shoved to the ground, hands bound together,
Would I be like this forever?
I whimpered under his rough handling,
I was so terrified it would be strangling.
Shot four times in the chest,
Then they dumped my body and left me to rest.
My soul drifts around everyday,
Watching people trample over the earth where me and Sally lay.
And the police search for us while our parents cry,
But-the soul never dies.

woah, thats a stong poem, and sam raised a good point lol sorry for the late comment, but i finally got round of my ass and commented lol (when actually im more sitting on my ass than i was lol!) anyway, great poem!

But-the soul never dies~Well that isn't technically true. Whereas the evangelical protestants believe in the immortality of the soul (or is it the resurrection of the body?) anyway various other christian groups believe in the resurrection of the body, whereby the body will be brought back on the day of judgement, as described in 1 Coritnthians, 'and the trumpet shall sound, and we will be raised imperishable.' Also various religions believe in reincarnation and buddists believe that you must earn you way through 8 separate worlds, see, Re isn't just a dos ^^
