Description
I find my best work comes to me when I don't even think about what I'm going to paint. I just let the picture come to me as I lay colors down in the sky and work my way from there. As time passes the picture just takes control of me and the outside world fades away. This started as a color study, but then I just kept adding more shapes and color to it. I learned a lot about color in this one. I ran into some big problems during the process, but overcame them. I am trying to break away from using a specific color scheme and explore deep into the color theory, but I have only put a scratched on the surface with this piece.
Closing up my longest comment I ever made. I really wish those who have me on watch, look forward to seeing a deviation in their message box by me. You guys keep me going, and even though most of you look, those who comment I like to thank a lot for your support and taking the time to tell me what you think...Anyway enjoy

Ooo... nice textures. I like the detail of the rope-and-wood plank bridge stretching out to that floating rock island. The sky looks very oneiric and the sea (?) is so calm lookin. If I were the sea and had a big rock floating over me (I dunno 'bout you but) I'd be constantly surprised. Nice work!
