I find my best work comes to me when I don't even think about what I'm going to paint. I just let the picture come to me as I lay colors down in the sky and work my way from there. As time passes the picture just takes control of me and the outside world fades away.This started as a color study, but then I just kept adding more shapes and color to it. I learned a lot about color in this one. I ran into some big problems during the process, but overcame them. I am trying to break away from using a specific color scheme and explore deep into the color theory, but I have only put a scratched on the surface with this piece.
Closing up my longest comment I ever made. I really wish those who have me on watch, look forward to seeing a deviation in their message box by me. You guys keep me going, and even though most of you look, those who comment I like to thank a lot for your support and taking the time to tell me what you think...Anyway enjoy

This really is a very wonderful picture. Great ambiance, lovely lighting, very... elegent, to use a rather corny word.
For the most part, the ground is fine for the picture, although a little bit to rough and stark for my tastes. It's a little bit too easy to see the strokes in the rocks and dirt, but to an extent, that makes the picture all the better. It gives a down to earth appearence to a picture that would otherwise be far to unreal and fantastic.
The bridge is great as well, for it counteracts the realism of the rocks with its sheer length, and curvature. In addition to this, the floating island also contributes to the surrealism and fantastic nature of the piece.
But the one thing that I would like to mention above all, are the clouds, and the ray of light. Without them, the picture would be acceptable, or mediocre. It's the way that the light comes through the clouds, and plays on the water and the island that make this picture what it is. So completely magnificent, and here is where the word elegent comes in, the light gives the entire picture an air as though coming from a dream, or a dream of a dream. It truly is quite beautiful.
So very well done indeed. This is a marvelous painting.

What an incredible scene, you did the lighting very well..
Although it's very dark, I look at it as if the subject viewing the bridge has just come from the floating island, and when he/she/it turns around, a field of grass and mountains lies ahead!

This is truly one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen that features a cloudy sky.
I saw this and was just in awe of the shear beauty of the sun shrouded in the gray clouds. The bridge and the floating island of rock add interest and draw me in. I almost wish I could cross that bridge...
I love the play of the colors in the clouds and how it contrasts subtly with the browns of the rock and bridge.

That is really incredible. I've met some good digital painters, but you are the best! All the detail, and the wonderful light really help illustrate the scene. I love the whole design of it and how it makes you feel like part of something greater. The title is great for this piece, too. It seems really good to make a story out of. Maybe I will someday, with your permission of course. *goes to check out more of your galley* Once again, incredible. Love it!

The sky in this is amazing, skys are definately your strongpoint. The rocks and floor however look hairy to me

You are so good at doing clouds! The sky looks so ominous. I love the textures on the rocks, the wooden posts and the rope bridge. The lighting is done so well. The perspective and composition are brilliant! ^_^ But I don't think you need me to tell you.
