Description This is a building in downtown Dallas.

Stare at it for a few seconds in FULL VIEW and tell me what you see. I almost get a sense of vertigo.

you know those old "clamper hand" toys that expand to reach out and bug someone? lol
the ones that look like this

C=XXXXXX={ well, almost

well that's what this makes me feel, like those boxes are all contracting and expanding, reaching up to that top corner. evidently i stared a little too long because im still feeling a little dizzy writing this comment

Great capture. Excellent use of perspective to give this a vertigo-inducing feel; it definitely looks as though the building is being pulled outwards as the eye moves -- no, is drawn to the top-right of the image. Good stuff.

The composition for this piece though simplistic is very effective for its repeptetitve theme.

Am not sure if its cropped or you're using a 120medium format, but the whole idea itself is very well placed and shown here.

The way how the picture leads my eye from the bottom left all the way to a seemless horizon itself, in its on dimension.

for me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

xseption In reply to Azrafael [2004-07-06 00:58:16 +0000 UTC]

It is cropped. I use a Canon G3 Powershot with 4.0 megapixels. It captured the whole of the side of the building and then some.

But the idea shown was what I had in mind when I pushed the button.

Thanks!

The cropping enhanced the idea alot and really amde the peice spectacular.

Excellent shot. It's a very cool illusion. Repetitive patterns make wonderful photos. : )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xseption In reply to kurios [2004-06-28 15:16:53 +0000 UTC]

True ... It is hard to find a repetitive pattern on the same scale as a building, that's one reason I took this photo.

Thanks for the comment!
