Description This is an experiment in DOF. The flowers in the foreground are out of focus , but deep in the center there is a distinct picture.

A full view is necessary to get the full impact of the piece.

Suggestions to make this better are gladly welcomed.

Oooh this is so nice! I love the way you have the border in b&w, how did you do that? Or is it a secret? I love flower pics and this is very special.

in Photoshop, I made another copy of the layer.

On the bottom layer, I desaturated the colors to make black and white.

For the top layer, I erased the borders of the photo so that the bottom layer would show through.

Does that make sense?

these are nice ... the city of Richardson grows these every spring along highways and major thoroughfares. Adds a little natural beauty.

depth of field ... it was not streched at all ... you need to look close to see the distinct flower in the middle behind all the flowers up front.
