Description
I once vowed that I would never paint water again, and in retrospect that was probably a smart thing to vow hahaButyeah; new(ish) OC, her name is Lili, and she lives in a world that's absolutely consumed by ocean; where she rides around on a genetically engineered mutant seal. It's a little universe that I've been drawing out in my head for a while and it's lots of fun.
I've always envied people with stories, plans, universes and whatnot, and I've only recently hopped on that bandwagon (:
So; I guess expect to see more of her soon? I guess I'll well and truly be shattering that old vow I made, worlds made out of oceans tend to include a lot of water, and with the amount I struggled here, god knows I need to practice it haha.

It looked like a photograph when I saw the thumbnail! Christ dude, you've gotten really good! The detail in the water is like crazyyyyyyyy and the lighting n her face is perfect, like I said before it looks real!

water is one of the biggest pains in the ass to pain. i think you nailed it though, that looks almost photorealistic there. which is far better than i've ever done water. beautiful work.

This is gorgeous! The water turned out amazingly, it's actually one of my favourite things to paint, as frustrating as it is. Hopefully you'll grow to enjoy it through your frustrations too.
I like the story you have behind her and hope to see more drawings of that universe!
