Description
OK Mainframe, eat your hearts out.I think I'm as close as I'm gonna get on texturing this guy correctly. I might tweak the reflections a little more.
The texture is fully environment interractive. it'll be a pain to render, but it's what they looked like one the show.
Next... new body rig.

Oh... sure, telegraph me orders and expect me to comply.
Hard, tenacious work went into these models, and the artists kindly donated them to my project. I consider him, a friend, so that probably helped him decide to agree to contribute them.
Tell you what, contact him yourself with your nice mastery of the politely written word, and see if he agrees to obey your commands.
Sheesh.

Yes, Adrian's models are fantastically accurate, he's amazing! That's why I do my best to replicate the textures of the show.

I have him, but the best representation so far is Adrian's, though it's not fully mapped yet.
Actually, here, you can see most of them in this

The G1 models are mine, but the Beast Wars stuff is him. I textured and animated them, though it's all still WIP.

Harder to believe that it's still got a strong and dedicated fanbase as well, instead of having fallen into the greater Transformers obscurity like so many of the recent series. Seriously, now that it's over, who does Fanart on the Unicron Trilogy? No one. Heck, even RiD endured, though not as much as Beast Wars.

Armada was pretty forgettable, same with Energon and Cybertron due to one aspect - the child characters. Kicker was...he made Jar Jar Binks, Wheelie and Weasly Crushers seem like the greatest characters ever made. The Armada kids were a pain and the Cybertron ones, while a little better, were out of place.
Though I am surprised that no one's done much for Cybertron Prime, he was great. I might do a silly picture with Energon Prime at some point.
Beast Wars was great, I didn't like it at first, being a G1 fan, but it grew on me.

Beast Wars got me to remember G1, which I'd known as a kid and pretty much considered "that show that I had a bunch of toys of". Though, to be fair, the one series that really... REALLY hooked me back in the fandom was Robots in Disguise. I managed to get ALL the toys from that line (I've sold a lot since).
Beast Wars grew on me over the years, but mostly because it is unique in its characterisation and esthetics. Heck, I even like Beast Machines.

ReinaHW In reply to XSilverboltX [2011-01-20 22:16:14 +0000 UTC]
Beast Machines was very interesting, the toys were a mixed bag, but the cartoon was dark and gripping.
I didn't manage to find many of the RID, the majority of them never got a UK release - which is usually the case with Transformers.
I still keep hoping to find a Megatron Megabolt, the Predacon three pack, Sky Byte, Bruticus - the dog version, and replacements for the first colour versions of the Autobot Brothers and Galvatron.
No luck though, they're usually well out of my price range.

Wow, I'm so glad to find someone else who enjoyed Beast Machine's show
And shame that we just met, so to speak. I had a Megatron Megabolt to sell a while back.
I do have Sky-Byte and the Predacon 3-pack if you'd like. And all three of the Autobot Brothers, both colour scheme. I'll be cheap if you're interested.

ReinaHW In reply to XSilverboltX [2011-01-21 03:17:52 +0000 UTC]
Depends on the price, my budget is pretty limited, I have no desire to spend more than Β£100 on any more TF's, Masterpiece Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime is the last one I spend that much on.
Depends on the price and condition of them all. I recent;y packed away all the Autobot Brothers I have, the original versions are showing severe degradation and were falling apart while the repaints are in great condition, but I just don't have the room for them.

XSilverboltX In reply to ReinaHW [2011-01-22 14:09:48 +0000 UTC]
Tch, from what I saw, I can barely get 40 euros for the lot. I'll check again and give you an estimate with shipping.
Condition is C9 on all. By that, I mean that they are out of the box and have been displayed and transformed several times, but by me. I am very very careful with Transformers that are in my collection. I'll even clean any dust that may have taken residence on them

WishmasterInRlyeh [2010-12-08 14:46:41 +0000 UTC]
With "environment interractive" you mean that it reflects the other objects or it is an enviromental map?
π: 0 β©: 1
XSilverboltX In reply to WishmasterInRlyeh [2010-12-08 15:19:53 +0000 UTC]
I'll go for reflecting the other objects. I don't really care if it's heavier on the rendering process, we're not pressed for time.
