Description
WARNING: BIG FILE.I've been meaning to make this tutorial ever since SDCC '09. Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule this past year, I never had the time to sit down and make it. But today I was looking through my photos from SDCC, and I figured, "Hey, better late than never!" So I just sat down and made it. I hope this isn't too wordy, I had a lot of information I wanted to include!
Looking back, I know there are some things that could have been better. But considering it was my first cosplay AND my first time making a mask, I think the result is ok.
NOTE: I forgot to include this in the tutorial, but I ended up bringing a small bottle of Elmer's glue in my suitcase because the horns on the mask kept falling off! And my friend who went with me brought a glue gun for her Painted Lady hat in case the veil came off, so she let me use that too.
The Blue Spirit is owned by Nickelodeon.
The actual mask in the tutorial is mine.
The tutorial was made by me too. Do not use without permission!
EDIT: I just noticed there's a typo in step 2... it's supposed to say masks, not mask... Oh well.
EDIT THE 2ND: Holy crap you guys. This thing has over 1000 views!

I believe it's some type of plastic... I bought it premade from the craft store to make the process a little easier.

Hi there! I'm so sorry I'm just now answering this! (I don't really use this account much anymore.)
Anyways, I would probably sand down the white pieces after covering them in the plaster. The plaster does smooth the pieces out, but if you want it to look really sleek, like in the show, that's what I would do. I'm still trying to figure out a way to cover the eye holes so that they're black, too. I haven't tried it yet, but I think that using some type of mesh fabric should do the trick.
Thank you and I'm really sorry for the late reply!
