Description

So anyone who follows me on other sites may have noticed that I've started switching my username back to VexVamp (the only reason I haven't here is because DA has a ridiculous time constraint which is making me wait until November). The short explanation behind that is that I just wasn't clicking with my new username, and ended up realizing I changed it for the wrong reasons. I don't have to completely overhaul my identity in order to grow and improve. So with that decision I decided I wanted to combine my original fursona and new fursona into a single character that was a better middle ground between the two.



Vex

Species: Gryphon (he isn't direct mix of any two animals, but instead has traits from a handful of species including a red-tailed hawk, African lion, common raven, gray wolf, and domestic cat).
Gender: Male (he/him - they/them)

Anatomy
Size: About the size of an average male gray wolf.
Build: Built very similar to a lion or other big cat, just not quite as muscular or powerful.

Front Half (mostly feathers)
Mouth: Top half of the mouth is a beak and the lower half is a feline jaw. He has a full set of feline teeth, but his beak is usually concealing the top half. Nasal bristles cover his nostrils.
Ears: Ears are large and very similar to a Maine coon, with tufts on the tips. His ears also indicate his emotions in a similar way to a cat.
Neck and chest: Feathers around his neck and chest are thicker than the rest of his body, reminiscent of a lion's mane.
Front Legs: Shaggy leg feathers lead down to featherless lower legs, wrists, and feet. Front feet are digitigrade, with bird-like fingers and claws, dexterous fingers, and opposable thumbs. Front feet also have paw pads underneath, which are cat-like in appearance, but much thinner, so that they are almost completely flush to the rest of the foot.
Wings: Wings are similar in shape to a red-tailed hawk, though slightly longer and thinner. Color and pattern is different on the top and underside of the wings.

Back Half (mostly fur)
Back Legs: Legs are basically those of a lion, with typical digitigrade feline paws.
Rear feathers: A ridge of rudder-like feathers runs from his lower back to the base of his tail. This assist him in steering while flying.
Tail feathers: Main tail feathers fan out from the sides of the base of the center tail. Can be pulled in while resting and extended while flying.
Tail: Tail is lion-like in shape, but much longer, with a feathered tuft at the tip. Rudder feathers run along the top at the base of the tail, and the main tail feathers fan out from the sides, also at the base.

Personality
Positive Traits: Intelligent, kind, passionate, empathetic, open-minded, loyal, adaptable, observant, determined, honest, funny, and level-headed.
Negative Traits: Self-conscious, insecure, worrisome, hypersensitive to criticism, can be easily frustrated, prone to catastrophic thinking, pessimistic, private, socially anxious, and cares too much what other people think.
Likes: Animals, drawing, writing, photography, collecting, Halloween, horror movies, horror content, animal fantasy, cryptids, abandoned buildings, vulture culture, recycling, travel, live theater, forests, mountains, and cool weather.
Dislikes: Bullies, inconsideration, bigotry, arrogance, entitlement, deforestation, animal cruelty, waste, littering, needles, hot and/or humid weather, tight crowds, amusement park rides, screaming children, cockroaches, and open water.
