I fell in love with this little guy as well as with the idea, so I thought I'd give it a shot The little wannabe stud up top is called Iniko and is the son of Simba and Nala's cubhood friend, Tojo. Headcanon time! In my head Tojo was the heir to a neighboring kingdom who rejected the throne, opting to live in the Pride Lands with his friends instead. He and Tama became mates, during Scar's reign, though few knew about it at the time. Two of the few who did were their good friends, Malka and Kula (who would later give birth to Kovu) and Kula's brother, Chumvi. Tama's older sister, Zira was one of many that didn't know of her sister's relationship with Tojo, and instead believed she had her eyes set on her beloved Scar (long story). So, blinded by jealousy and rage, she crept into her sister's den in the night and murdered her in cold blood, only to find a tiny female cub tucked away in a nest of dry grass nearby. Zira took the cub, who she would later name Vitani, and only when Tojo came looking for his mate did she realize the mistake she'd made. Unwilling to admit it, Zira told Tojo that his mate and cub had died during the birth only for their carcasses to be stripped clean by jackals and vultures before Zira could find them. Tojo may have been guilty of naiveté in this situation, but he was a kind, truthful lion and never believed Zira would deceive him the way she did. Heartbroken, he returned to his father's kingdom, keeping himself distracted by taking up the role he was always meant to play, the role of a king. Years would pass before Tojo, urged on by his subjects, realized he must produce an heir while he was still fit enough to train him or her in the ways of the kingdom. He knew he could never love again, never replace his beloved Tama, but lucky for him a lioness loyal to their kingdom offered herself up as a mother for Tojo's cubs with no strings attached. She later birthed two healthy sons, one of which stayed behind so he could train to become king. The other, Iniko, was sent away to the Pride Lands to be betrothed to their future queen, daughter of Kovu and Kiara. Only when escorting his young son to Pride Rock would Tojo discover a familiar face among the former Outsiders. The face of the daughter he thought he had lost forever.

Or...you could just say he's the son of Tojo, if you're not buying that headcanon. For shaaaame!

Yeah, so obviously Kiara and Kovu's daughter isn't biologically related to Iniko, but she still finds the whole scenario a bit creepy. Iniko himself is a mischievous and quick-witted cub who has a real way with the ladies. He's a charmer and knows just how to show off his dashing good looks. But deep down inside him is the nobility of a true king. He hates bullies and would never stand for injustice. If he sees another cub being picked on he won't hesitate to step in and interfere, even if it means he gets a merciless beating. He's determined to win over his betrothed by showering her with charm, gifts, and affection, but he hasn't had much success so far. Sadly, she seems to be the only lioness immune to his charm. Maybe time will melt that icy heart
