Thanks for your post. I will definitely be using these ideas and pondering more and more about what I am really doing right with the use of my YouTube video channel dedicated to some of the concerns you have mentioned. I'm also considering the actual way it would be if I launched a blog discussing a number of the same issues you've dealt with here. Thank you for showing me something so obvious. I used to be blinded from it. Your post has really made an impact on the way I think about my own work and ideas too. click here to know more about clipping path.

It DOES look a lot better, though I have a shitty camera so it looks blurry T_T but smaller it looks less blurry : D

You do a lot of things I usually do as well. ^^ Though the sharpen option is one I should play around with a bit more... As soon as I re-installed my PS.

lucismundis [2011-01-27 23:58:18 +0000 UTC]

That was actually quite useful. While I don't do doll photography, I think I can definitely apply some of this to my own photography.

Y-n-Y In reply to lucismundis [2011-01-28 00:13:19 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad! X3 This was indeed mainly based on my doll photography>.<

lucismundis In reply to Y-n-Y [2011-01-28 00:20:32 +0000 UTC]

It's not a problem. I believe that we as artists can always learn from other media or styles.

Thank you for sharing this. I love before and after pics. I'm always impressed with how other people edit photos and the end results.
I always forget about the sharpen feature... I'll have to try that soon with some of my product images, then one day with my own doll! (can't wait!!).

Y-n-Y In reply to MetaCynth [2011-01-28 00:12:34 +0000 UTC]

You're welcome^^
Be careful with the sharpen tool though. It sharpens the grain as well.

Xeina-rose-of-death [2011-01-27 21:20:30 +0000 UTC]

I'm gonna try this! I have Photoshop, but I only use like 3% of the tools, because I can't figure out how to use the last 97% xD I guess I can do this in PAINT.net, somehow that program works a lot better with me, and it's just like Photoshop xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Y-n-Y In reply to Xeina-rose-of-death [2011-01-27 21:26:58 +0000 UTC]

Heh, you don't have to know about all the tools Heck I probably know half of them X3 Just the ones you use most frequently.
Good luck!

Y-n-Y In reply to so-fiii [2011-01-27 21:17:37 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, I thought it would X3 It's probably very different from what everyone else does I tend to not listen to other people and do things completely the way I want it stubbornness issues X3

I hope you find it usefull! Match color is my best friend! X3

KyoyaxL [2011-01-27 21:07:11 +0000 UTC]

Even when I use photoshop a lot, this was really helpfull!
I mean the part about the noise or grain, or well. Sharpe the image.
Now I at least now how I get rid of the damn noise x]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Y-n-Y In reply to KyoyaxL [2011-01-27 21:16:31 +0000 UTC]

Sharpen usually makes the grain more obvious so be careful with that. Sometimes I reduce the noise twice in a row or even retouch the grain with the blur tool.
Hate hate hate grain. Because I edit my photos so much I always have it>.<
