hi there!this is the first tutorial for the creation of a windows 7 visual style,more tuts are coming soon ,it is better to download the image to have a more clear view of the tutorial
this are some useful psd's which can help you [link] ,if you don't have photoshop you can open them with "the gimp" which is a free alternative for photoshop
win7 style builder is not free ,purchase it here [link]

I have buy VSB (Windows7 Style Builder) 3 day's ago.
And i like it a lot, hole world go's open for you what you can do with this program 
I like it, and i hope you post more realy good tutorials. This is step one for me.

when you open a visual style in it, you can edit change, etc, save as visual style (msstyles file)
which for me is familiar, been there
but windows 7 doesn't open the skin I just saved because it needs to have the .theme file outside the folder where the .msstyle (the visual style you just saved) in the folder...
what am I doing wrong?
I mean, how do I edit this .theme file?

it is not very difficult
1-open a .theme file with notepad
2-these are the lines you should edit:
