I have a question about the "multiplying shape" - "draw shape with light color and multiply it over and over to create better tones".

I heard this phrase soo often, but I don't really understand.
Shall I create a shape, fill it with color, then set the config to "multiply" (you know, this layer thing..multiply, sharp light, soft light,...), then duplicate the layer, set this again to "multiply", duplicate the layer again, set it again to "multiply"..... is this what you're talking about?

i think its too short....
maybe u should accumulate more n compile it as in 1 big thing

that would be much more useful

Plus... 2 images doesnt work... thanks

It's a neat tutorial - I like how you designed the thing itself, and the tips are useful. I have Corel Draw, now that I realized it... I might try doing something with it.

ooooh cool beans! Imma have to use this. Although it's 9 AM and WAY too early to try it for my sleepy brain, I'll let ya know how horrible my efforts turn out. Thanks again!!

Very awesome tutorial. I was actually planning on trying the multiply transparency method very soon. I want to be able to copy anyone style if I have to. I look badass as a ninja.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Though, I am sure some might have been interested seeing a real world example be build using the shading technique you've explained.
